When life
hits you hard and your bright dreams and aspirations appear blight, what do you
do? Life is not always rosy; we all know and, will never be. Many of us have
goals we set out to achieve only to stop halfway for several reasons. Some have
stopped short because they got discouraged down the lane. Discouragement due to
lack of fund to implement their goals or wrong decisions they made
which didn’t materialise the way they’d expected. Whatever the reason may be, they stopped. They quit. And that’s the problem.
which didn’t materialise the way they’d expected. Whatever the reason may be, they stopped. They quit. And that’s the problem.
Our response
to obstacles matter a lot. They may be the difference between success and
failure. One thing that has stood out through the ages, and still remains true
till today is that he who has found the right thing to do and does it
consistently without quitting, will succeed. To quit is to fail. And you wonder
why so many had not been successful?
Years ago I visited
a friend in his school who introduced me to the most powerful poem I’ve ever
read on success. The poem is so empowering and inspiring that I thought I’d be
doing a great injustice to humanity- and to you too- if I refuse to share.
You may have
been down and discouraged and need the right word to get up and live your
dream. That right word may be what you are about to read.
Enjoy to the
full.
The Don’t Quit Poem
When
things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the
roads you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the
funds are low and the debts are high,
And you
want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care
is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if
you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is
queer with its twists and turns,
As every
one of us sometimes learns,
And many
fellow turns about,
When he
might have won had he stuck it out,
Don’t
give up though the pace seems slow,
You may
succeed with another blow.
Often the
goal is nearer than,
It seems
to a faint and faltering man;
Often the
struggler has given up,
When he
might have captured the victor’s cup;
And the
learned too late when the night came down,
How close
he was to the golden crown.
Success is
failure turned inside out,
The silver
tint in the clouds of doubt,
And you
never can tell how close you are,
It might
be near when it seems afar,
So stick
to the fight when you are hardest hit,
It’s when
things seem worst that you must not quit,

I hope you
are blessed as I was the first day I came in contact with this poem- I still am
though. In that same concept of helping humanity, share this work with your
friends- that may be the help they look out for.
After all,
a friend in need is a friend indeed.
To quit is to fail... That sumed it up.👍boss. We jst have to strive until we attain our set goals or objectives. Obstacles cannot knock us down. We can only knock ourself dow by quiting. My mum always tell me, that point you reach ur gr8test obstacle is the final step to succes
